Professor Jay selects his Soke Dai (inheritors) of Small Circle Jujitsu^TM.

Professor Wally Jay has selected the following Soke Dai:

• Lee Eichelberger, who has been my assistant in the past twenty years.
• Leon Jay, my son, who has studied Taekwondo, Judo and George Dillman's art of pressure point fighting.
• Ed Melaugh, who has blended Jim DeMile's Wing Chun Do and Dave Castoldi's jujitsu.
• Ronald Ogi, Wing Chun Do practitioner of Hawaii.

Why did Professor Jay select several Soke Dai (inheritors) instead of just one?

Many martial artists have been wondering why Wally Jay selected several inheritors of the Small Circle Jujitsu^TM instead of naming his son Leon as his only heir.

Professor Jay writes...

Do we have to follow Japan's tradition of martial arts? I have been considered a rebel but truly I am a realist and a modernist. I had defied the judo and jujitsu traditionalists because I differ from them in belief. I am an American and will always think like one.

I reached this conclusion after seeing the dilemna in the deaths of Ed Parker, Jame Mitose, and William Chow Hoon. Many of their followers claimed that they are the chosen one. I believe that it is best to pick several heirs that are compatible to work together in spreading the gospel of the Small Circle Jujitsu^TM.

All of my soke dai are well versed on the theory and techniques of Small Circle Jujitsu^TM. By blending the knowledge of these inheritors, I know that these men will enhance the future of the Small Circle.
