Professor Wally Jay appeared on a two hour A&E (Arts & Entertainment) Cable Channel special today (February 1, 1998) at 8:00pm EST and 9:00pm PST. This special program (called "The Martial Arts") was promoted as the most complete look at the martial arts. Professor Jay and many of the other top world martial arts appeared in interviews and performing demonstrations. Professor Jay was interviewed and demonstrated various techniques, including his famous pretzel hold on Rob Gale and Chris Peterson. Unfortunetly most of the taped demonstration and interview were not presented on the final show. Professor was shown demonstrating his finger techniques on Chris Peterson and some of the interview was shown. Some old black and white footage from the 1930's of Professor Jay doing jujitsu kata was shown throughout the special, but was never described or associated with the Professor.
